Two Painters: A Visual Dialogue-David Cooper + Linda Olzewski explore Form, Colour, and Light in their renderings of Still Life, Figures and Landscapes.
An eclectic fusion of artwork produced by two Winnipeg Artists who enjoy using a variety of mediums and ideas to tell their visual stories. Florals and Figures will mesh alongside Still Lifes and Landscapes in an effort to create excitement for the eye and emotion for the heart.
After retiring from teaching, Linda Olzewski turned her life-long love of drawing and painting into a full-time pursuit. Largely self-taught, she works with watercolour, oil and acrylic. Linda also likes to experiment with collage and mixed media. She has won several awards for her work. Linda has been an instructor at the Forum Art Center and a workshop presenter in the Winnipeg area. She is a member of many local art groups, including the Winnipeg Sketch Club.
David S. Cooper, Born in Trail, B.C. David’s interest in Art began as a child. Primarily self taught he developed his drawing skills through pen and ink with a foundation in caricature and cartooning.
In the last thirty plus years David has pursued the usage
of colour through watercolours, acrylics, and collage and attended workshops with notable Canadian and American Art Instructors.
Now residing in Winnipeg, David partakes in a number of art shows annually. He is a juried member of the Winnipeg Sketch Club and for fifteen plus years has taught at the Forum Art Centre and now recently taken the post of Art Director
David’s constant search for self expression and his love for the prairies and the human form are reflected in his watercolour, acrylic, and collage paintings.
