Opening Reception & First Friday, December 1, 7-10pm
Hours December 2 to December 19:
Tuesday to Friday, 12 -6pm; Saturdays 12-5pm
As a small child I was very creative. I was always expressing myself through sculpture, mixed media and painting. Years later, I am an adult but I still create art.
Over those years I have developed a diverse style; incorporating an earth based palette and a vivid colourful palette. My works are generally sculptural, mixed media constructions, paintings and exquisite handmade books. These things are an expression of me and my life experiences.
As I age, I have come to realize that my work has a common theme of time. Seen together, my works illustrate the passage of time, compares and contrasts the past to the present and shows us the unwritten history of the future. Some of my art pieces are abstract and some are concrete sequential. The viewer participating in the art will bring their own self and meanings to works; even though we experience time in the same way.
All Things Included represents the diversity of who I am and the art I create.
